Protection of jewelry
Remember!
It is very important to regularly clean and care for SRIBNA LAVKA jewelry.
General recommendations
- Wash with warm soapy water and polish with a soft polishing cloth to maintain a bright shine. You can order professional cleaning from us.
- Store separately in a protective box or special bag to avoid scratches and prevent fading.
- Protect freshwater cultured pearls and skin from direct sunlight and bright lights to prevent them from burning.
- Remove your jewelry before going to bed or before exercising.
- Limit the interaction of jewelry with creams, perfumes or lotions. Jewelry should not be exposed to chlorine, chemicals, or salt water, as this will impair its appearance.
- Avoid contact of jewelry with make-up, creams, perfumes and hair sprays. We recommend removing the rings when washing your hands.
- Be careful of the hidden silicone inserts that some jewelry has. Inserts are sensitive, so please keep them away from chemicals and extreme high or low temperatures as they can weaken the silicone's ability to stick. Treat jewelry with love and care, especially freshwater cultured pearls, mother-of-pearl, enamel, fine chains, and fine jewelry. Be careful not to drop them on the floor or accidentally knock them against hard surfaces, as this can damage their delicate structure.
Quick care tip: it is recommended to put on jewelry last and take it off first.
Metals and stones
The range of SRIBNA LAVKA stones includes high quality stones, cultured pearls. We recommend that you handle jewelry with stones with special care, as well as store them separately to avoid scratches. Clean the products with warm soapy water and a soft brush. Beads containing stones and a silver base are particularly susceptible to damage. Protect products with stones from impacts and falls on hard surfaces. Please note that some stones have special care requirements. Please contact your SRIBNA LAVKA representative for more information. If in doubt, have it professionally cleaned by a SRIBNA LAVKA representative.
Products covered with gold and rhodium.
Radiant and elegant, this unique gold-plated alloy is created using a combination of metals (copper, silver and gold) that gives the jewelry romantic pink or lemon gold hues.
These innovative products require special care, so we ask you to follow our recommendations to preserve the flawless appearance of your jewelry. The use of special polishing wipes will help preserve the shine of the unique coating. To clean your jewelry at home, soak a cloth in warm water with a small amount of mild soap and gently wipe the product. Rinse with clean water and dry with a soft cloth. If the dirt is difficult to wash off, leave the jewelry in warm, soapy water for 5-10 minutes.
Avoid using any cleaning and polishing products that contain abrasive elements. Remember that the products should not be exposed to chemicals, perfumes and lotions, and they should be removed before taking a shower and bath, visiting the pool and protect them from contact with water.
Wear of the coating over time is normal. SRIBNA LAVKA's warranty does not cover such cases, but you can contact your SL representative and renew or remove the cover completely.
Enamel
Enamel gives the jewelry unsurpassed glossy colors and a durable coating. The type of enamel used in SL products has improved wear resistance. All SL enamel finishes are applied to the jewelry by hand. This material is enough to polish with a napkin for shine and cleanliness. Avoid direct sunlight so that the color of the enamel does not fade.
Skin
Leather is a natural material that requires careful care. Leather products may stretch or fade over time. You may notice different shades of color in the products - these are natural features of the material. Protect leather products from water and other liquids - they can cause damage and loss of color.
For daily cleaning, simply gently wipe the skin with a soft, dry cloth. Stains should be removed immediately before they absorb or dry - use a mild professional cleaner (chemical-free) or mild soap. Create a lather in a bowl and apply the lather to a soft, lint-free cloth, then wipe the skin. After that, wipe the leather with a dry cloth and add a leather conditioner to protect it further. Remember to keep the skin out of direct sunlight.
Textile
If your bracelet or chain gets a little dirty, don't submerge it in water, as this can damage or discolor the fibers. Instead, run a lightly dampened white cotton cloth over it, being careful not to rub the cloth too vigorously. Do not rub, but gently rub the wetted cloth in circular motions, starting from the outer edge of the stain and moving towards the center. Textile products may lose saturation over time, this is normal.
Freshwater cultured pearls and nacre
Never soak freshwater cultured pearls in water or rub them hard, as this can damage the nacre. Instead, wipe them with a very soft, clean cloth dampened in warm, soapy water, then dry. Follow the same steps for mother-of-pearl.
Oxidized products
To clean the jewelry, rinse it under running water and dry it with a paper towel. Clean the clasp with a polishing cloth, being careful not to rub the bracelet as this can remove the finish.
Ceramics
To keep your ceramic jewelry clean, wipe with a damp cloth, then wipe dry with a lint-free cloth. Be careful not to drop ceramic products on the floor or accidentally knock them against hard surfaces, as this can damage their delicate structure.
Silicone elements
Some jewelry stays in place thanks to a built-in silicone retainer. Silicone retainers should not be exposed to silver polishing agents, ultrasonic cleaning, chemical or thermal exposure, as this may affect their retention properties.
Storage
When jewelry is not in use, it should be stored separately in a protective box or bag to avoid scratches and prevent discoloration or tarnishing.
